History: Exploration, Analysis, Geology, & Geomorphology
What is the geologic history of current sites and what are the results of surveys in these areas?

Exploration

The diamond exploration project is located in West Quebec. Between 1992 and 1994 over 200 microdiamonds were recovered from minerological samples taken along the Colounge River in West Quebec by an experienced geological team under the direction of Desmond Burke. Exploration has continued through 2002.

Geology and Gemorphology

Seventy-two (72) magnetic or topographic anomalies have been ground walked with a North-South and East-West line to determine a general profile susceptibility for comparison with other known kimberlite bodies (in Russia). Seven targets in the Bryson Burke area have general profiles matching those of diamond bearing kimberlites from Russia.

Geochemical diamond indicator minerals have been found down ice from each target increasing the likelihood of the bodies being kimberlites (or lamporites).

Analysis

In 1993, analysis performed by Victor Guschin of the All Russian Diamond Institute located in St. Petersburg, Russia, confirmed the existence of G9 and G10 pyrope garnets.

In 1994, Dr. Daniel J. Schulze, the leading Canadian expert on the geochemical analysis of diamond indicator minerals, determined that a Kimberlite was the most probable source of indicator minerals extracted from the property.
